We're back for the annual SHOP WITH A COP holiday event! 

SHOP WITH A COP is a one-day event where local police officers will partner with community volunteers (that’s us!) to shop with deserving children from Somerset county communities.

The Somerset Community Action Program (SCAP) will select 100-150 kids from qualifying families to participate in this event.  Each selected child receive a $100 Target gift card and gets teamed up with a police officer and a volunteer to go shopping -- they get whatever they want! 

We are looking for Rally Volunteers to go shopping with a child and a police officer as Santa’s Helpers – you’ll help the kids along the way, make sure your ‘team’ is running smoothly, help to keep a tally, etc.  

Register by Nov. 16^th to get a Santa's Helper T-shirt!  Volunteers who register by Nov. 16th will get a shnazzy event t-shirt.. Feel free to dress up in your craziest holiday outfit! Can't make it the entire time? No problemo -- we appreciate any time that you can offer.  Our event goes from 4pm – 8pm, so we’re looking to fill the different time slots.

 

Who: Can I volunteer? If you're over 18 and into the holiday spirit – come on down!  Please contact us if you have someone with you between the ages of 13 -18 (we’ll make sure that you enjoy the event together).

Participants will be between grades K-5^th.

When: Friday, December 5th from 4pm - 8pm.  We will likely be done closer to 7pm (last year we were done before 7pm).

 

Where: Bridgewater Target in Bridgewater, NJ.

 

How: Click the red register button to register as a volunteer. You'll be able to designate your availability during registration.  You’ll also be able to let us know your tshirt size (no shirts after Nov. 16^th).  IMPORTANT:  You are registering to volunteer at the event; you are not registering a child to participate in the event.

 

This is a truly fun event for all involved and we can't wait to share in the fun with our Rally family!
